Business leaders warn Treasury to leave Feed-in Tariffs alone
Our CEO Juliet Davenport was one of more than 60 senior figures in the renewable industry who, in an open letter to the Government this week, warned that premature cuts to the Feed-in Tariff scheme would “cause investors to flee” the microgeneration sector.
Letwin talks up Coalition green policy
Better news this week when Minister of State for the Cabinet Office Oliver Letwin signalled the Government’s support for the Renewable Heat Incentive in his speech at the Conservative Party Conference. He described the RHI as a “crucial part” of the Government’s programme to cut carbon and maintain energy security, adding that Feed-in Tariffs would “turn hundreds of thousands of houses into sources of energy.”

Feed-in tariff promises to revolutionise UK energy market
Juliet also spoke to BusinessGreen this week about how the ability of the Feed-in Tariff to reshape the UK’s energy market is only just beginning to become apparent. She predicts that the incentive will not just promote the adoption of solar panels and other renewable energy systems, but will also force energy suppliers to restructure their entire business models.
