On July 10th a twenty strong team of intrepid Good Energy employees will be moonlighting as Vikings, racing a Dragon Boat against lesser Vikings upon the savage waters of the River Avon. This mighty event is being organised by the Rotary Club of Wiltshire Vale and one third of the money raised will go to support their chosen charity.  This year they have chosen Water Aid, a charity which enables poor people in developing countries to gain access to clean, safe water and sanitation.

The remaining two-thirds of the money goes to the charity of our choice, and for this wet and wild event Good Energy has chosen The Wiltshire Wildlife Trust.

Our network of over 1300 independent generators are not only making homegrown energy from the UK’s fantastic natural resources, but also protecting them for future generations – a goal that Wiltshire Wildlife Trust shares - so we’re really pleased to be able to support their important work to keep Wiltshire’s wildlife flourishing.

If you’re going to be in the Chippenham area next weekend then please come and cheer us on.
