Finally - an energy monitor for home generators
RSS FeedAn energy monitor can be an extremely useful tool when trying to make your home more energy efficient, because you can tell exactly how much energy you’re using. However, if like 1 in 25 Good Energy customers you also generate your own electricity, then ideally you would want your energy monitor to be able to compare your electricity usage with your generation. Most energy monitors do not currently have the ability to do this…but luckily, we’ve finally found one that can!
Yes, it’s true, the stylish Wattson energy monitor can now support home generators. Just attach an additional sensor to your renewable power inverter and follow a few simple instructions outlined in the new Renewable User Manual. Once set up, you can use the Wattson’s unique PC software ‘Holmes’ to download both your used and generated readings and compare your results in a user-friendly graphical format.
Even if you’re not a home generator, the Wattson is a great addition to any eco-savvy household. With only one button it is easy to set up and its colourful light display, which changes from blue to pink depending on how much energy you are using, makes it an attractive focal point in your home – as well as a constant reminder to save energy.
The RRP for the Wattson is £99.95, but because we love to support our home generators we’re reducing the price of our Wattsons to £89.95 until 31st July 2010.
