Good Energy and the Energy Saving Trust
RSS FeedWe have been working with the fantastic people at the Energy Saving Trust for some time now, and are delighted to be forming an official partnership with them as of today. We will be working together on all kinds of projects to communicate the benefits of energy efficiency to our customers and beyond. But enough from us, we’d like to hand over to Philip Sellwood, the Chief Executive of the Energy Saving Trust.
A Good Partnership
It has always made sense for the Energy Saving Trust to form partnerships with other like-minded organisations. The reasoning is simple - it enables us to reach a far wider audience than could possibly be reached by going it alone.
However, today saw a step change in our partnership offering that we believe increases its value - not only for us, but the partner organisation too.
At our annual stakeholder event we were delighted to announce that Good Energy is the first organisation working to achieve the Energy Saving Trust endorsed advice standard.
The Energy Saving Trust endorsed advice services are a new package of training, content and tools which enable our partner organisations to deliver credible and trustworthy energy saving advice to their customers.
We have been working closely with the Customer Care team at Good Energy to help develop a programme that gives their advisors the most up-to-date and accurate information to work with when talking to their customers about how to stop wasting energy in their homes.
The programme also draws on our experience about how best to deliver the advice to the consumer to ensure that it encourages them to take action – benefiting not only themselves, but also helping to reduce UK CO2 emissions.
For me this partnership is a win-win. Good Energy and their customers know that the advice and information given to them has been developed and verified by ourselves - an independent and trusted organisation. And it enables us to reach individuals that we would not be able to without this partnership.
In addition to this, I am delighted that Good Energy will also be joining our solar thermal monitoring trial - A year long study to independently evaluate the in-situ performance of domestic solar thermal installations.
