Good Energy will be at The Bigger Picture’s Festival of Interdependence this Saturday, October 24th at the Bargehouse on Oxo Tower Wharf

Join thinkers, artists, activists, poets and musicians for a day of learning, making, doing, celebrating and debating. The Bigger Picture is part of the 350 international day of climate action, a global call to put our world back on course to 350 ppm, the number scientists say is the safe upper limit for CO2 in our atmosphere.

Here’s a taste of some of the events Good Energy is involved in:

  • Good Energy’s carbon quiz all day
Find out your personal eco-rating by taking our carbon quiz – with appropriate prizes for the top scorers. You’ll find the Good Energy stand in Room 3, next to the Human Powered Home.
  • Energy challenges facing UK  11 – 11.30
Our CEO Juliet will be in The Hub answering questions about the energy challenges facing the UK, and the opportunities this presents to invest in a clean, green energy future. 11 – 11.30.
  • The Great Transition; Life After Oil 12 – 12.40
Juliet will be joined by Jeremy Leggett of Solar Century in Room 9. They’ll be talking about how we’ll meet the energy needs of our homes when the oil runs out.

With so much going on, there’ll be something for everyone – from film screenings, to workshops (breadmaking, beekeeping, composting , fashion...) to art installations, to stimulating debates with a huge and diverse array of speakers (Bianca Jagger, Oliver James,  John Sauven, Colin Tudge, Rosie Boycott, Andrew Simms.... and so many more). What’s more, it’s all free.

Hope to see you there.
