ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT
Good Energy’s mission is to empower people who are concerned about climate change to make a difference. Based in Wiltshire, we are the UK’s only dedicated 100% renewable electricity supplier and we support over 1200 independent green generators throughout the UK. By buying electricity from us our customers are helping support the growth of renewable generation in the UK.
We are a dynamic and passionate team, motivated by the contribution we make every day to growing green energy and reducing the UK’s carbon emissions.
We are looking to appoint an accounts assistant to join the finance team and help with the administrative aspects of the function. The ideal candidate will be numerate, organised and motivated; be able to pick up new information quickly and be able to communicate with our departments within the company.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Controlling the purchase ledger and helping ensure that our suppliers are paid on time by leading the payment runs.
- Dealing with the paper administration and the incoming post on behalf of the finance department
- Undertaking some monthly reporting such as Affiliate partner and Broker reconciliations.
- Quarterly stationary and stock inventory
- Participating in basic book keeping
- Expenses and credit card analysis
- Purchase order control to ensure that costs remain under control.
- Maintaining the fixed asset file
- Supporting the Financial Controller and the Assistant Accountant on ad hoc tasks as and when these arise.
Experience/Skills:
- Organised and ability to prioritise workload is essential
- Basic bookkeeping or some purchase ledger experience an advantage

Contract: Full Time
Salary: £15,000 for the first 3 months, increasing to £15,500 on successful completion of probationary period.
