Good Energy, the UK’s only dedicated 100% renewable electricity supplier, is delighted to announce it has won the 2009 West of England Business of the Year Award (for businesses with a turnover of less than £25M). The ceremony, held on Wednesday night in Bristol is now in its 21st year.

Tracey Bentham from PricewaterhouseCoopers, and chairman of the judges for the category said: “Good Energy really impressed the judges with its all-round performance. It is an inspirational business and has proved that you can be a green company and still run an effective and high quality business.”

Over the last 12 months Good Energy has won a series of awards including: Best Online Retail Initiative at the Observer Ethical Awards; one of the Sunday Times’ Best Green Companies; the Micropower Award for Innovation; the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Environment; the British Renewable Energy Company Award and PLUS markets CEO of the Year.
